By downloading or using Cardenius, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Cardenius mobile application ("App") and any related services provided by Milan Nai ("we", "us", "our"), based in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

By creating an account, downloading, installing, or using the App, you confirm that you are at least 13 years old and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the App on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation.

2. About the App

Cardenius is an AI-powered business card scanner and contact management application for Android and iOS. Key features include:

3. Accounts

Registration

You must create an account using a valid phone number. We use Firebase Authentication with OTP (one-time password) verification. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone and account.

One account per user

Each phone number may be associated with one account. You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits or subscription requirements.

Account security

You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at privacy@cardenius.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to download and use the App on Android and iOS devices that you own or control, solely for your personal or professional contact management purposes.

Premium plans

Cardenius offers a Premium subscription on a monthly and a yearly (discounted) plan. Premium pricing is set by the relevant app store for your region and displayed in your local currency at the point of purchase. **On Android**, purchases are processed through **Google Play In-App Billing** and you agree to [Google Play's payment terms](https://play.google.com/intl/en_us/about/play-terms/). **On iOS**, purchases are processed through **Apple In-App Purchase** and you agree to [Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions](https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/).

Free trial

Every new account receives a 15-day free trial of Premium automatically upon signup. No payment information is required to start the trial. During the trial you can access all Premium features — including batch scanning, map view, Meeting Mode, exports, encrypted cloud backup, all app themes, and watermark-free card templates.

Important: the trial unlocks Premium features but does not remove the free-tier storage limit. The 75-contact cap still applies during the trial. Truly unlimited contacts and scans are available only with a paid Premium subscription. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the free tier unless you purchase a subscription.

Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. **On Android**, manage or cancel via [Google Play Subscriptions](https://play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions). **On iOS**, manage or cancel via Settings → [your Apple ID] → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain Premium access until that date.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the app store through which you purchased. We do not process refunds directly. **On Android**, contact [Google Play Support](https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/2479637). **On iOS**, contact [Apple Support](https://support.apple.com/billing) or submit a request at [reportaproblem.apple.com](https://reportaproblem.apple.com).

Price changes

We may change subscription prices with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes will not affect your current billing period.

6. Free tier limits

The free tier — and the 15-day Premium trial — are subject to the following storage limit, which may change with notice:

If you exceed the contact limit (for example, after a Premium subscription lapses), your existing contacts are preserved in read-only mode. You cannot add new contacts until you upgrade or delete contacts to return below the limit.

7. Your content

Ownership

All contact data, card images, and digital card designs you create belong to you. We claim no ownership over your content.

Licence to operate the service

By using the App, you grant us a limited licence to process your content solely to the extent necessary to provide the App's features (for example, passing card images to Google's AI APIs for extraction). We do not access, read, or use your contact data for any other purpose.

Your responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you store in the App. You agree not to store content that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, or violates these Terms. You are responsible for obtaining any necessary consent before importing or storing another person's contact information.

Data portability

You can export your contact data at any time in standard formats (CSV, vCard). We will not hold your data hostage — if you decide to leave, your contacts go with you.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

OCR and AI accuracy depends on card quality, lighting, and language. Always review extracted data before saving. We are not liable for errors in extracted contact information.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Milan Nai shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data, loss of profits, or loss of goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or the equivalent of USD 10, whichever is greater.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

11. Termination

By you

You may stop using the App at any time. To delete your account and associated data, email privacy@cardenius.com with the subject "Delete my account". We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

By us

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, engage in prohibited conduct, or if we discontinue the App. We will provide reasonable notice where possible.

Effect of termination

Upon termination, your licence to use the App ends. Sections 7 (Your content — ownership clause), 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India.

If you are a consumer in the European Union or United Kingdom, you may also have the right to bring claims in your local courts and benefit from mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and notify you through the App where required by law. Your continued use of the App after the effective date of the revised Terms constitutes your acceptance.

If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the App and may request account deletion as described in Section 11.
