Common questions

How accurate is the AI scanning?

Cardenius uses advanced AI as the primary engine and falls back to on-device OCR when offline. AI visual cross-referencing detects phone, email, and map icons to validate fields, and disambiguates tricky characters like '0' vs 'O'. Even on smudged or angled cards, accuracy stays consistently high — and you always review the extracted fields before saving.

Does it work without internet?

Yes. On-device OCR runs fully offline on your device — you can scan cards anywhere, even on a flight. Online AI extraction kicks in automatically when you're back online to refine the results.

What languages does Cardenius support?

AI extraction supports 100+ languages, including 10+ Indian scripts — Hindi, Gujarati, Bengali, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Odia — alongside English and major world languages. Cardenius handles bilingual and mixed-script cards on the same card, and preserves the original native script next to the transliteration.

Is my data private?

Your contact database is stored locally on your device by default. Cloud backup is opt-in and AES-256 encrypted before upload — we cannot read it. We never sell your data and never share it with advertisers. The source data lives only on your phone unless you explicitly enable sync.

Can I export my contacts?

Premium users can export all contacts as CSV, vCard (.vcf), or PDF. Free users can save individual contacts to their phone's address book one tap at a time. Your data is yours — you can take it with you any time.

What do I get during the free trial?

Every new account gets a 15-day Premium trial automatically — no credit card required. During the trial you can use all Premium features (batch scan, map view, Meeting Mode, exports, cloud backup, all themes, watermark-free templates). The free-tier 75-card storage limit still applies during the trial; truly unlimited contacts unlock when you subscribe to Premium.

How is this different from CamCard or HiHello?

Cardenius combines deep multilingual support (100+ languages with native-script preservation) with built-in WhatsApp sharing, automatic categorisation across 22 business types, same-company contact grouping, and a full digital-card studio — in one app. Premium pricing is set by Google Play for your country, shown in your local currency at checkout, and designed to stay affordable.

What happens if I cancel Premium?

Your existing contacts stay — nothing is deleted. You return to the 75-card limit only for new additions, entering a read-only mode for anything above it. You can keep viewing everything and add more again any time you upgrade or drop below the limit.

When will iOS be available?

iOS is on our roadmap. We're shipping the Android app to a polished state first, then bringing the full experience to iPhone. Follow us on the Play Store and we'll let you know.
